El Torro in Leipzig

Here people park happily on the sidewalk almost every evening. Maybe it's the delivery truck or the driver is just (walking) disabled. Postscript to the operator's answer: Just for us: why are we on two terms? And no, there is no right to park on the sidewalk. Even if you see it differently. And "legal department" .. no nonsense, do you believe in nonsense if you are not even able to adhere to the simplest rules? Furthermore, your communication skills leave a lot to be desired. We were there relatively late for dinner. Despite the late hour, we were warmly welcomed. Wine was good, food was great and staff extremely friendly. We absolutely cannot understand bad reviews. We can only recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Very tasty food, not entirely classic German-German Mexican cuisine. Homemade nachos, highly recommended. We will be back:-)

The food is really tasty, the steak is well roasted, the doneness is as desired. Only the dessert was not our cup of tea, as we imagined something different under coconut cream. But then next time there will simply be something different;). We will be back

Today the men chose this restaurant. The location is not so nice because it is right on the main road. The terrace is simple but covered. The service was very friendly and ready to have fun. The food was very tasty, plentiful and the prices reasonable.

We didn't know the restaurant but found it through recommendations. Great menu with a large selection. I had a griddle that a normal eater can hardly handle. Quality absolutely great, quantity indescribable. A little tip for the operator: every guest would be happy to receive a free tequila after dinner. Always happy to be a guest there.

05.09.20 - The restaurant has a cozy flair with unfortunately getting old toilets. The service was friendly and tried hard. The drinks menu was very varied, as was the menu. You just miss some specialties and you thought of a steakhouse while reading. Starter - The nachos were okay, but the dips were industrial goods and the finger food was served on a loveless, massive side salad. Main course - Both dishes were flooded with cheese-industrial sauce. The food doesn't taste like much that you want to cover up with sharpness. Minced meat looked like a finished product. The corn was partly dark in color, which did not look like a roasted aroma. The vegetables were also not listed in full in the dishes, so that one dish was still inedible because zucchini was used. (Kellerin: "We just have to talk to each other!" ... We: "But unfortunately it is not on the menu ??‍♂️) Unfortunately, it was a disappointment for us because we love Mexican cuisine and now know the cuisine well. But this restaurant should be more of a steakhouse. Conclusion: Unfortunately not recommended!

The food wasn't delicious. Just tasteless, without finesse and the price is much too high. The "homemade" garlic sauce contains coloring and glutamate (according to the labeling of the additives on the menu). Plates arranged carelessly, the eye doesn't feel like eating anymore.

The service is on spot. If you have a request it gets promptly fulfilled. Most of the ingredients and sauces are homemade and the food is delicious. The portions are very filling and it is all over excellent.

The best spare ribs in Leipzig. Very tender, extremely well marinated and a huge portion. The service also tries very hard and is always very nice and open-minded. Worth it!!!

So we were here for the first time. Staff friendly, helpful and very nice. Food selection was difficult, but quickly selected thanks to good advice. Starters were very good and plentiful. Almost enough, actually. But then the main course came. Unfortunately we did not finish it completely and in the end we were able to take the rest with us. All in all it was a great evening. Price-performance ratio is right and we can only recommend it. In any case we'll be back. Thank you and greetings from the Luck family.

The worst mexican food I have ever had, and I know, I'm a Latino! AND if you are going to give a Spanish name to a restaurant, at least spell it correctly, the word "Torro" is incorrect, that word doesn't even exist in Spanish, the right spelling is Toro!

Super nice and helpful service. The ambience is suitable and the choice of food is also very large. We waited relatively long for the food but it was worth it. The portions are large and the prices are okay. We thought it was delicious and will definitely come back.

We have been there 6-7 times this far and the food was always very delicious. The portion sizes are huge, so if you order an appetizer, you probably won't be able to finish your main dish, but we always end up ordering it anyways because they taste great. The food is fresh and even the dips taste like home made. For the amount of food they give, the dips could be more, for example for the nachos. Except for one time, we could always pay with card. Like in any other German restaurant it has to be a n "ec" card. The staff is kind. They don't interrupt you every 5 minutes, so if you sit in the back you might have to call out to them or go to the bar if your drink is empty.

And once again a Friday with great friends. So off to the Mexican. Super fast service and really friendly. The food came quickly and you never sat dry. Even when our troop was the last to sit there at the end, we were allowed to order and end our evening in peace. I can only recommend it!

Nice, friendly and quick service. We felt very comfortable. The food was very good and plentiful.

They do not accept credit cards, I had to run to the ATM to get cash. First time I get this problem in Germany. There wasnt a menu in english. Food was good though and portions were fair. I do recommend that establishment.

Food doesn't match the price. Not very tasty.

Nachos were very good with salsa and guacamole. Dip Portions were small.Fajitas were good. Margarita was served straight up without ice which I found interesting. When I asked for ice, they were quick to accommodate. Burritos had a very fabricated cheese sauce on it. Recommend that you order the fajitas. They were the best option. Great service!
